Lucy Baney is a co-founder of the Soft Skills Builder blog, and also serves as the President and CEO of Access Technologies Group, Inc. (ATG), a provider of e-learning workforce development simulations and elearning courses. Prior to ATG, Ms. Baney spent 23 years with RCA and IBM as a programmer, product sales, and executive management. 

Ms. Baney founded ATG as an Internet application development company focusing on the development of e-learning courseware, simulations, and authoring tools. Her most recent venture includes developing her patented Simentor® simulation authoring tool to create courseware that focuses on people with employment barriers, including returning veterans, people with disabilities (both cognitive and physical), people reentering from incarceration, and irregular employment due to mental illness and/or substance abuse. The objective of the training is to teach appropriate soft skills/interpersonal skills to help people get and retain jobs. 

Ms. Baney was awarded the 2007 Connecticut Women of Innovation Award for Community Innovation and Leadership. She currently serves as the chair of the National Visiting Committee of BATEC (Broadening Advanced Technological Education Connections). BATEC is sponsored by the National Science Foundation and located at the UMass Boston, and is dedicated to career-focused pathways in several technology fields. Ms. Baney is also on the Board of Directors of the Icelandic-American Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Baney has previously served on boards of the Connecticut Technology Council, The Business Council of Fairfield County, and as a founding advisory board member of the Academy of Information Technology and Engineering. She is a graduate of Florida State University.


Christine M. Casey, Ed.D., is a co-founder of the Soft Skills Builder blog, and also serves as the Vice President of Curriculum Programs and Marketing of Access Technologies Group, Inc. (ATG), a provider of e-learning workforce development simulations and elearning courses.

In September 2006, Dr. Christine Casey received a Congressional Award as a Beacon of Hope for All Americans for her "continuous unselfish service to children and education." Her life's work had been defined by a commitment to empowering youth and facilitating the potential of underserved populations.

Dr. Casey earned a Doctorate and two Masters Degrees in Curriculum and Administration from Teachers College and a third Masters in Education from Hunter College. As a State Education Department Regional Associate, Dr. Casey monitored special education programs for regulatory compliance. She has served as Assistant Superintendent in several school districts in NY and CT.

Dr. Casey is a former national board member of the ACE Mentoring Program, The Williamsburg Art and Culture Council for Youth, and served for five years as the Advisory Board President of the New York Public Library Early Childhood Resource and Information Center. Dr Casey is currently a board member of the Center For Digital Literacy at Syracuse University.


 Christina Morfeld is a co-founder of the Soft Skills Builder blog, and also serves as the Vice President of Simulation-Based Learning of Access Technologies Group, Inc. (ATG), a provider of e-learning workforce development simulations and elearning courses.

Ms. Morfeld's focus is developing instructional content to help job seekers and employees achieve workplace and career success through improved attitudes, behaviors, and ability to overcome challenges. Her deep understanding of employment barriers enables her to effectively support returning veterans, justice-involved individuals, people with disabilities, and those in recovery.

In her role with ATG, Ms. Morfeld is responsible for implementing a learning strategy that integrates technology-delivered simulations with curricula that may be fully e-learning or blended with instructor-led instruction. She authors, and oversees the authoring of, simulation-based "soft skills" courseware using ATG's patented Simentor® tool, documents ATG's proprietary technology, and provides a wide range of project management, sales, and client service support.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Morfeld held a Curriculum Planner position with PrimeLearning, where she designed overall instructional strategy for business and professional eLearning courseware. Ms. Morfeld was also a member of the consulting team that created the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Global Learning System, which is used to prepare individuals and groups for the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) certification exam. In addition, Ms. Morfeld has worked with Lee Hecht Harrison, Goldman Sachs, Olympus America, Information Builders, Bridgewater Associates, and The NPD Group in various writing, training, or human resources roles, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University.
